Every year, California State University, Northridge (CSUN) hosts a conference that addresses the issues of people with disabilities. The National Centre on Deafness being its main sponsor and entertainer, this event is commonly known as the CSUN Conference.
The CSUN Assistive Technology Conference is an International Conference that focuses on innovative technologies developed specifically to improve the lives of persons with disabilities. It is considered to be the world’s largest event devoted to exploring new ways and techniques that can support people with disabilities.
This occasion is being held for the past thirty five years and the 36th conference will be held virtually from March of 8th to 12, 2021. For the past many years it was organized in San Diego but the event location has now moved to Anaheim.
The main aim of the conference is to share advanced ideas and contribute to the knowledge economy and information technology that can be best utilized in the domain of assistive innovation. The attendees include expert individuals such as scientists, specialists, exhibitors, end clients, speakers, researchers, practitioners, and other participants from across the globe. Each participant organization exhibits its innovative solutions to provide practical solutions that can be used to eliminate the barriers for people with disabilities in instructive, work environments and social settings.
The CSUN Conference is presently one of the most prominent out of the many other conferences organized around the globe. It has played its significant part in shaping and understanding the role of people with disabilities.
This year’s 36th Conference focuses particularly on web accessibility and also includes discussion on features of various cutting-edge technologies by relevant stakeholders such as accessibility experts, disability advocates, persons with disabilities, governments, and businesses.
Other notable disability-focused seminars and conferences include the Envision Conference, M-Enabling Summit Conference, Showcase: the Assistive Technology Industry Association Conference, the National Federation of the Blind National Convention, and the American Council of the Blind Annual Conference and Convention.
CSUN Assistive Technology Conference is dedicated to a dream of a comprehensive society where everyone has the chance to attain their goals and experience success. It is through the collective will, excellent training, and research; we nurture learning and innovation to improve the world for people with disabilities.
The 36th Annual CSUN Assistive Technology Conference will be held from March 6th to 14th, 2021. In the history of the conference, this will be the first time that the conference is being held virtually, though due to an ongoing chance but on a brighter side enabling thousands of people to attend, learn and experience from the leading organizations, industry experts, and witness breakthrough assistive innovation, cutting-edge technology solutions featured at the premiere assistive technology conference.
The Conference will span over a week commencing on Saturday, March 6th to Sunday, March 14th, 2021, organized as a virtual event. Pre-Conference Workshops are scheduled for two days beginning from March 6th- 8th and will be conducted in a live webinar format to pre-registered attendees.
The Keynote Address of the summit will be live-streamed on Tuesday, 9th March 2021. Following the address a block of General, Exhibitor, and Journal Track sessions will commence each day starting on Tuesday, March 9th till Friday, 12th March 2021. Each session will be available on-demand till Sunday, March 14, 2021.
Specific time slots have been dedicated for the live Q&A with the presenters in case of missing the chance to attend; the session can be availed on-request.

International conferences such as the CSUN Assistive Technology Conference are a great way to spread awareness about the problems disabled persons face in their day-to-day life.
