Every year, California State University, Northridge (CSUN) hosts a conference that addresses the issues of people with disabilities. The National Centre on Deafness being its main sponsor and entertainer, this event is commonly known as the CSUN Conference

The CSUN Assistive Technology Conference is an International Conference that focuses on innovative technologies developed specifically to improve the lives of persons with disabilities. It is considered to be the world’s largest event devoted to exploring new ways and techniques that can support people with disabilities.

This occasion is being held for the past thirty five years and the 36th conference will be held virtually from March of 8th to 12, 2021. For the past many years it was organized in San Diego but the event location has now moved to Anaheim.

The main aim of the conference is to share advanced ideas and contribute to the knowledge economy and information technology that can be best utilized in the domain of assistive innovation. The attendees include expert individuals such as scientists, specialists, exhibitors, end clients, speakers, researchers, practitioners, and other participants from across the globe. The 36th Annual CSUN Assistive Technology Conference will be held from March 6th to 14th, 2021. In the history of the conference, this will be the first time that the conference is being held virtually, though due to an ongoing chance but on a brighter side enabling thousands of people to attend, learn and experience from the leading organizations, industry experts, and witness breakthrough assistive innovation, cutting-edge technology solutions featured at the premiere assistive technology conference.

36th CSUN Assistive Technology Conference Schedule

The Conference will span over a week commencing on Saturday, March 6th to Sunday, March 14th, 2021, organized as a virtual event.  Pre-Conference Workshops are scheduled for two days beginning from March 6th- 8th and will be conducted in a live webinar format to pre-registered attendees.

The Keynote Address of the summit will be live-streamed on Tuesday, 9th March 2021. Following the address a block of General, Exhibitor, and Journal Track sessions will commence each day starting on Tuesday, March 9th till Friday, 12th March 2021. Each session will be available on-demand till Sunday, March 14, 2021.

  • Is registration for one-day of the Conference possible?

    Unfortunately, no.

  • Can international participants register for the Conference?

    Yes, the event is open for all.

  • Is there a cancellation policy for registered participants? 

    Cancellation will only be processed if provided in writing and shared by February 11, 2021. A $100 processing fee will be assessed for the process involved. No refunds shall be accommodated after February 11, 2021.

  • Will the sessions be live or can I view them on my own time?

    Sessions consisting of General, Exhibitor, and Journal can be availed on-demand.

  • Can the event be attended using a mobile device?

    The virtual conference website can be accessed using any web-enabled devices including a desktop computer, laptops, tablets, and mobile devices.

  • Can any of the participants receive a list of Conference attendees?

    Unfortunately, no.

  • For registered participants is there a need for an Expo Visitor Pass to access the display lobby? 

    All registered participants can access the Exhibit Hall with their Conference registration and do not need an extra Expo Visitor Pass.
