There are a number of low vision aids each belonging to a different category such as optical devices, non-optical devices, electronic magnifiers and magnifying systems. They differ in terms of usage, portability and in-built features, each designed for either close-up visual tasks or distance viewing. Some of the commonly found examples are electronic video magnifiers, standing and hand-held magnifiers, strong magnifying reading glasses, loupes, small telescopes, etc.
